Cardinals vs. Seahawks 2015 picks and predictions: Most experts taking Seattle, despite records

Only one on SB Nation’s expert panel is taking the Cardinals to beat the Seahawks, despite the team’s superior record.

The Arizona Cardinals have jumped out to a two-game lead in the NFC West and are considered a Super Bowl contender, but until they dispatch the Seattle Seahawks, the doubters linger. Even with the Seahawks sitting at 4-4, most experts are taking the back-to-back NFC champions to win in Week 10 and tighten up the division race.

The Sunday Night Football matchup can be seen on NBC or streamed online at NBC Sports.

In all eight games this season, the Seahawks have led in the fourth quarter, but blew that lead in four of the games. Two required overtime to decide and the four teams to beat Seattle have a combined 26-6 record.

With so many close losses to quality opponents, experts still believe in the No. 2 defense of the Seahawks’ ability to create issues for any team.

The Cardinals have the No. 3 offense and No. 3 defense, but each of the six wins for the team came against teams with losing records. That lack of a “prove-it” game has experts unconvinced in the Cardinals’ ability to win a big game, and with four losses in the last five trips to Seattle, many aren’t convinced in Arizona’s chances this time around.

At ESPN, nine of 13 experts are picking the Seahawks, but the story is the opposite at CBS Sports, where five of eight experts are taking the Cardinals.

SB Nation’s team is siding with ESPN and taking the Seahawks to win. Ryan Van Bibber is the only one taking the Cardinals, although resident Seattle fan Matt Ufford is just going with WHISKEY for his pick.
