The New England Patriots scored a touchdown in the first quarter of a Week 10 game against the New York Giants on Sunday, to make it an NFL-record 32 consecutive quarters with points scored. The Patriots extended their record to 33, 34 and then 35 by scoring in all four quarters against the Giants.
Patriots set record for most consecutive quarters with a point
The Patriots haven’t finished a quarter without a point since the first quarter of Week 1.

In Week 1, the Patriots didn't score in the first quarter against the Pittsburgh Steelers, but have scored in every other quarter since. With an 18-yard touchdown pass from Tom Brady to Brandon Bolden in the fourth quarter of a Week 9 win over Washington, the Patriots tied the record of 31 straight quarters, but managed to become the sole owners of the record on Sunday.
The 2005 Indianapolis Colts managed to go 31 consecutive quarters without being held scoreless and the St. Louis Rams did so in a stretch that spanned both the 1999 and 2000 seasons.
Brady entered Week 10 with an NFL-leading 22 touchdown passes with just two interceptions. The Patriots lead the NFL in scoring and have scored at least 27 points in every week.
A win against the Giants on Sunday would secure a 15th consecutive winning season for the Patriots, making them the first team since the San Francisco 49ers (1983-1998) to accomplish the feat, and fifth in NFL history. The record for consecutive winning seasons belongs to the Dallas Cowboys who posted 20 straight winning records between 1966 and 1985.
