Tyrod Taylor is expected to be back and healthy after a bye week for the Buffalo Bills and should be the team's starter in Week 9 when they host to the Miami Dolphins, Rex Ryan announced on Monday.
Tyrod Taylor expected to be back for Bills in Week 9
Taylor suffered a knee injury in Week 5, but is expected to be back and ready to go in Week 9.

After a 2-2 start to the season, Taylor suffered the knee injury in a Week 5 win over the Tennessee Titans that improved the team to 3-2. With EJ Manuel inserted into the starting lineup for the Bills, the team fell to 3-4 with back-to-back losses, including a 34-31 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars that featured Manuel turning the ball over three times in a span of less than three minutes.
In five games for the Bills, Taylor completed 70.1 percent of his passes for 1,097 yards, nine touchdowns and four interceptions, while Manuel has managed to complete 61.9 percent of his passes with three touchdowns and three interceptions.
Taylor earned the starting job after a lengthy quarterback battle in the offseason with Manuel and Matt Cassel. He reportedly turned down a better contract offer from the Denver Broncos because he felt he had a good chance at winning the job in Buffalo after spending the first four seasons of his career as backup with the Baltimore Ravens.
The Dolphins lost to the Bills in Week 3, 41-14, but have had a resurgence since firing Joe Philbin and replacing him with Dan Campbell. After blowing out the Tennessee Titans and Houston Texans, the Dolphins came back to Earth with a 36-7 loss to the New England Patriots.
