Less than a week ago, the Cincinnati Bengals were undefeated and looked ready to mow through the rest of their regular season schedule en route to a first-round bye, but a loss to the Houston Texans raised eyebrows. Now experts are taking the Arizona Cardinals to take out the Bengals in a Sunday Night Football matchup on NBC.
NFL picks and predictions, Bengals vs. Cardinals 2015: Experts siding with Arizona
Doubts raised by a loss to the Texans have experts picking the Bengals to lose to the Cardinals in Week 11.
The game, which can be streamed on NBC Sports Live Extra, is one of three Week 11 matchups between teams with winning records and one of only two on Sunday.
But few experts are picking the Bengals to improve to 9-1 after their shaky performance against the Texans. Especially after the Cardinals earned their most impressive win of the year by hanging 39 points on the vaunted Seattle Seahawks defense.
Still, the Bengals are far from an easy matchup for a Cardinals team that still doesn’t have a win over a team with a winning record. No team has allowed fewer points than the Bengals and the Cincinnati offense has managed to put up the fifth-most points in the NFL. The Cardinals’ statistics are impressive too, with the No. 1 offense and No. 3 defense in total yards.
At CBS Sports, John Breech is the only one on the eight-man panel to take the Bengals to win, while only Eric Allen and Ron Jaworski picked against the Cardinals on ESPN’s 13-man panel.
SB Nation’s team is siding with Arizona, as well. The entire seven-man panel is taking the Cardinals to improve to 8-2, and the OddsShark computer is projecting a Bengals loss too.
