Houston Texans quarterback Brian Hoyer will start Sunday against the New Orleans Saints, one week after missing a 24-17 win over the New York Jets with a concussion.
Brian Hoyer will return for Texans’ Week 12 game against Saints
Hoyer missed Houston’s win over the Jets with a concussion.

Texans coach Bill O’Brien made the announcement at his Monday press conference, saying that Hoyer had passed his final concussion test and would return to the lineup.
Hoyer and Ryan Mallett had traded the job back and forth early in the season, but Mallett was cut in October after missing a team flight. That left T.J. Yates and recently acquired Brandon Weeden as the only healthy quarterbacks on the roster. Yates started against the Jets and had a good outing, throwing for 229 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions, though he did lose a fumble.
Yates also threw a touchdown pass to upset the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 10 after Hoyer left the game with the concussion.
Hoyer has picked up steam after a slow start, and is now 3-2 as a starter with 13 touchdowns against four interceptions. At 5-5, the Texans are tied for first place in the AFC South.
