New England Patriots wide receiver Danny Amendola left the team's game against the Buffalo Bills with a knee injury Monday. Amendola was clearly in pain after the first half and was seen grabbing his leg and limping off the field multiple times. After being looked at by the training staff more than once, the Patriots announced Amendola as questionable to return to the game.

Amendola sustained a knee injury in the third quarter on Monday.


Amendola was having a great game for the Patriots when he left with injury. He had nine catches for 117 yards and was targeted 12 times by Tom Brady. He also fielded three punts for 34 yards. Amendola is Brady's top receiving target behind tight end Rob Gronkowski due to the injuries at the wide receiver position.
Julian Edelman is missing time with an injury and Aaron Dobson was carted to the locker room after an injury in the first half. Amendola came into Monday's game with 40 catches for 403 yards and two touchdowns. Gronkowski had 806 yards and eight touchdowns and Edelman had 692 yards and seven touchdowns. New England is rapidly running out of wide receivers.
