Chicago Bears wide receiver Alshon Jeffery suited up against the Green Bay Packers on Thursday. Jeffery is dealing with groin and shoulder injuries that forced him out of the team’s Week 11 game against the Denver Broncos.
Alshon Jeffery plays in Thanksgiving game against the Packers
The Bears had their star wideout on the field for a primetime game against the Packers.

Jeffery was listed as questionable going into Thursday. He has missed a lot of time this year, missing four games earlier in the season and the game against the Broncos last week. As a rookie in 2010, he also missed six games due to injury, though he did play a full 16 games over the past two seasons.
In those two seasons, Jeffery has eclipsed 1,000 receiving yards and at least seven touchdowns. He was on his way to matching or beating those numbers this season, catching 36 passes for 515 yards and two touchdowns. He’s a valuable weapon for quarterback Jay Cutler when healthy, but he has been banged up all season.
Despite missing so much time, Jeffery leads the Bears in receiving yards. Tight end Martellus Bennett, who won’t be active on Thursday, has just 425 receiving yards, while Marquess Wilson has 420 receiving yards behind him. The next two players on the stat sheet are running backs. Cutler will be very thankful to have Jeffery back on Thursday.
