For almost the entire 2015 season, the AFC South has featured four teams with losing records, but the division has managed to bounce back. The Houston Texans have now won three in a row and are being picked by experts to improve to 6-5 in Week 12 when they face the New Orleans Saints.
Saints vs. Texans 2015 picks and predictions: Experts taking Houston to win 4th straight
The Texans have played elite defense during a three-game win streak and experts think it’ll be enough to slow the potent Saints offense in Week 12.
The Saints looked primed to contend for a spot in the postseason earlier in November, but they dropped back-to-back games prior to a Week 11 bye. The team fired defensive coordinator Rob Ryan during the off week after finishing the first 10 games of the season with the NFL’s worst defense. But the question against the Texans will be whether the New Orleans offense is able to continue its success against an elite defensive unit.
While the Saints are No. 2 in total offense, the Texans have allowed just 29 points during the team's three-game win streak, including holding the potent Cincinnati Bengals offense to just six points in a Monday Night Football matchup. The Houston offense is 25th in points scored, but experts are taking the Texans to get over .500 and make it four consecutive wins.
At CBS Sports, six of eight pickers are taking the Texans to win, while a majority of ESPN's panel likes the home team as well. SB Nation's team is also siding with Houston. Only Joel Thorman and PFT Commenter think the Saints can pull off the win against the red-hot Texans.
