The New England Patriots will be without Danny Amendola for a Sunday Night Football matchup against the 8-2 Denver Broncos due to a knee injury that kept the wide receiver from even traveling with the team, according to the Boston Herald.
Patriots WR Danny Amendola will not play vs. Broncos
A sprained knee suffered by Danny Amendola kept him from even traveling to Denver with the Patriots.

Amendola, 30, has battled with injuries for most of his career and suffered a sprained left knee in the third quarter of a win over the Buffalo Bills on Monday night. After sitting out of practice on Wednesday, Amendola was a limited participant on Thursday and Friday, and was listed as questionable to play in Week 12.
The Patriots were already deficient at wide receiver after injuries ended the 2015 season for Aaron Dobson and a broken foot for Julian Edelman. That means Tom Brady will likely have to rely heavily on the contributions of Rob Gronkowski with Brandon LaFell as his No. 1 wide receiver.
Denver enters Week 12 with the fewest total yards allowed and the No. 1 pass defense. In 10 games, the Broncos have given up eight passing touchdowns, the fewest in the NFL.
Amendola is the Patriots’ second leading wide receiver behind Edelman with 49 receptions for 520 yards and two touchdowns. Both receivers are behind Gronkowski in total production, as the tight end has 843 receiving yards and eight touchdowns.
