Jarvis Landry will play for the Dolphins in Week 12

Miami’s No. 1 wide receive missed two practices this week with a knee injury.

The Miami Dolphins will have their No. 1 receiver on the field when they take on the New York Jets Sunday, as Jarvis Landry is will play despite a knee injury that held him out of practice twice this week.

Dolphins head coach Dan Campbell said Friday he felt "pretty good" about Landry's chances to take the field and just sidelined him during practice for precautionary reasons. Landry, 23, is Miami's most productive receiver. He's caught 63 passes in 10 games and is on pace to eclipse the 100 reception mark, which would break the team's 17-year-old record set by O.J. McDuffie with 90 receptions in 1998.

In addition to being productive in the slot, Landry has emerged as one of the game’s best punt returners, too. He’s eighth in the league in punt return average this year at 10 yards-per-return.

Sunday's game against the 5-5 Jets is a crucial contest for the 4-6 Dolphins if they want to keep their slim playoff hopes alive. The Dolphins are one game out in the loss column for the AFC's final wild card spot, but would have to leapfrog five teams. The Jets, who started the season 4-1, have lost four of their last five and currently sit on the outside of the AFC playoff picture as well. New York defeated Miami 27-14 when these teams met Oct. 4.
