Broncos will have Emmanuel Sanders back vs. Patriots

Brock Osweiler is expected to have his No. 1 receiver back for a ‘Sunday Night Football’ game against the Patriots.

When Brock Osweiler attempts to lead the Denver Broncos to a victory over the unbeaten New England Patriots, he'll have his top wide receiver available. According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Emmanuel Sanders is expected to be active for the Sunday Night Football matchup in Week 12.

In Osweiler’s first career start, Sanders wasn’t available due to an ankle injury, but the fourth-year passer still managed to complete 20 of 27 passes for 250 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions, earning AFC Offensive Player of the Week honors.

But having Sanders back in the lineup is important against the Patriots. No team has allowed fewer points than New England, so the budding connection of Sanders and Osweiler will need to find each other on Sunday night if Denver is going to get on the scoreboard. Via Pro Football Talk:

“The chemistry is good,” Emmanuel Sanders told reporters on Friday, in comments distributed by the team. “Peyton hasn’t been going on Wednesdays, so I’ve had an opportunity to go with Brock and it’s definitely paid off. Today we connected on a couple of deep balls that we were working on. I texted him last night about what I’m seeing and what he’s seeing, so it’s going to pay off.”

On the other side, the Patriots will be without Danny Amendola, who didn't travel to Denver due to a knee sprain suffered in Week 11. Tom Brady is already missing Julian Edelman due to a broken foot and the Patriots injured reserve has already claimed Aaron Dobson, Brandon Gibson and Brian Tyms. Instead the team will have to rely on Brandon LaFell as a starter, and is expected to have Keshawn Martin back in the lineup.
