Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger was entered into the NFL concussion protocol after leaving Sunday's game against the Seattle Seahawks late in the fourth quarter. According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the tests revealed Monday that Roethlisberger did indeed suffer a concussion. He will remain in the concussion protocol this week as the team prepares for the Indianapolis Colts.

According to Ed Bouchette of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Roethlisberger's concussion symptoms were self-reported. On Tuesday, Rothelisberger said he had passed his concussion test and should be able to play in Week 13 against the Indianapolis Colts:

— Ed Bouchette (@EdBouchette) December 1, 2015 Roethlisberger was taken to the locker room to be evaluated for a concussion after taking a big hit on the Steelers' last offensive snap of their second-to-last offensive possession. He was taken down by Seahawks linebacker K.J. Wright after a 7-yard gain on third-and-goal from the 10-yard line with under four minutes remaining.
"I have played through many injuries but the brain is not an injury you want to play with," Roethlisberger said Tuesday on Pittsburgh's 93.7 The Fan. "I didn't feel right, it doesn't make you less of a man or a football player to come out of the game.
“When you’re done you want to be a husband or father, and if I have these brain injuries it’s not worth it.”
The Steelers kicked a field goal on fourth down after the play.
Roethlisberger completed 36 of 55 passes for 456 yards and a touchdown before leaving the game. He also had a pair of interceptions and was sacked twice for a loss of 10 yards. Roethlisberger has played in just six games this season due to injury.
Jones has played in four games this year because of injuries to Roethlisberger and primary backup Mike Vick. He completed 31 of 51 passes for 479 yards with three touchdowns and a pair of interceptions before entering the game. He threw four passes, completing just one for 34 yards to go with two picks, the last of which sealed the Seahawks win.
