The 2015 season hasn't gone as planned for the Cleveland Browns or the Baltimore Ravens, and a Week 12 duel between the two on Monday Night Football will have much more impact on the 2016 NFL Draft than the AFC North race.
Ravens vs. Browns 2015 picks and predictions: Experts nearly unanimous in picking Cleveland
The Browns sat down Johnny Manziel, but experts think the team will be just fine with Josh McCown when they face Matt Schaub and the Ravens.
Just a week ago it looked like Monday would be a matchup of Johnny Manziel and Joe Flacco, but a punishment for Manziel and a torn ACL for Flacco has both teams going to alternative quarterbacks, though experts are much more confident in Josh McCown than Matt Schaub to earn a victory.
With McCown starting at quarterback, the Browns are 1-6, with his only win of the year coming against the Ravens, despite his solid statistics in 2015. He has completed 65 percent of his passes with 11 touchdowns and four interceptions, and will be facing Schaub who hasn't started a game since 2013. The former Houston Texans starter has 130 career touchdowns with 86 interceptions, but had 10 touchdowns and 14 interceptions in his final season with the Texans before spending 2014 with the Oakland Raiders.
Schaub will also be without Justin Forsett, who joined Flacco on the Ravens injured reserve which also features players like Terrell Suggs and Steve Smith, who both suffered significant injuries in a nightmare season for Baltimore.
At CBS Sports, the only expert taking the Ravens to win is Jason La Canfora, while the other seven are siding with the Browns. All 13 of ESPN’s experts are picking Cleveland, as well.
SB Nation’s team is taking the Browns, as well. Only Joel Thorman is going against the grain to take the Ravens to win, while the rest of the panel and the OddsShark computer are all going with Cleveland.
