DeSean Jackson is back in the lineup for Washington for the first time since suffering a hamstring strain in the team's season opener, and will play against the New England Patriots in Week 9, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Jackson is back for Washington after suffering a hamstring injury in Week 1.

Jackson, 28, didn't record a catch in Week 1 before going down with a hamstring injury against the Miami Dolphins, but racked up 1,169 receiving yards in his first season with Washington in 2014. With Jackson out, the team relied on the contributions of rookie Jamison Crowder opposite Pierre Garcon.
Washinton’s passing game hasn’t been great this season. Both wide receiver Pierre Garcon and tight end Jordan Reed have 350 yards and three touchdowns, while Jamison Crowder has 292 yards and has not found the end zone. Jackson will instantly improve Washington’s offense and they will desperately need it against the Patriots on Sunday.
The Patriots have been passed against often in 2015, with the New England defense facing 273 pass attempts in its first seven games. Only six teams have faced more passing than the Patriots who are No. 16 in passing yards allowed.
Jackson has 7,286 career receiving yards and 38 touchdowns, never finishing a season with fewer than 700 yards in his first seven years in the NFL. He led the NFL with 20.9 yards per reception in 2014.
