The Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys were expected to be the favorites in the NFC East in 2015. However, a Sunday Night Football meeting between the two teams in Week 9 will be a battle to avoid last place in the division. Streaming of the game will be provided by NBC Sports Live Extra.

The Cowboys beat the Eagles 20-10 in Week 2, but had Tony Romo at the time and shut down a rushing attack that has since caught fire.
The matchup is the second of the season between the Eagles and Cowboys after Dallas improved to 2-0 with a 20-10 win over Philadelphia in Week 2. Tony Romo was injured in that victory, though, and the Cowboys haven't been able to earn a win since.
Brandon Weeden had three unsuccessful starts for the Cowboys before the team turned to Matt Cassel, who hasn't fared any better with an 0-2 record. While he has been much worse statistically than Weeden, the Cowboys are sticking with Cassel for a third week. Romo is on injured reserve with a designation to return, so he'll be eligible to take back his starting spot in Week 11.
On the other sideline, Sam Bradford has six interceptions in the last three weeks, upping his season totals to nine touchdowns and 10 interceptions. Peyton Manning is the NFL's only other starting quarterback with more interceptions than touchdowns.
While Bradford has struggled, the Eagles’ rushing game has rebounded after a rough start to the year. The team has at least 150 rushing yards in each of its last three games, with Ryan Mathews surprisingly outplaying DeMarco Murray so far in 2015.
The Eagles have been able to climb out of a 1-3 hole, and a win could get the team back to .500 and possibly in the lead in the NFC East. At 4-4, the New York Giants currently lead the division, which is still up for grabs.
