Free agent quarterback Matt Flynn has landed with the New Orleans Saints. The quarterback tweeted on Monday that his "hunting season is over" and an emoji pointing to the Saints as his destination. Multiple reporters pointed out Flynn's tweet as confirmation that the deal is done and he's finally found a home for 2015.
Saints sign quarterback Matt Flynn with Luke McCown’s season in jeopardy
Flynn will be the primary backup for Drew Brees.

Flynn has bounced around the league over the last few years. After signing with the Seattle Seahawks in 2012, he lost the starting job to rookie signal caller Russell Wilson. A year later, the Seahawks traded him to the Oakland Raiders, where he lasted only a season.
When the Raiders released him the following offseason, he split his time between the Buffalo Bills and Green Bay Packers. Most recently, he spent the preseason with the New York Jets.
The Saints were in the market for a quarterback when Luke McCown showed up on the team's injury report this past week. McCown is the primary backup for Drew Brees, and performed well against the Carolina Panthers when Brees missed time in Week 3. It's unclear how much time McCown is expected to miss, but ESPN reports McCown will likely need season-ending back surgery.
The Saints clearly didn't want to rely on third-string quarterback Garrett Grayson going forward.
For his career, Flynn has completed 219 of his 357 attempts for 2,541 yards, 17 touchdowns and 11 interceptions. He attempted just 16 passes in backup duty with the Packers last season.
