Carolina Panthers tight end Greg Olsen left the team's game against the Atlanta Falcons with a knee injury Sunday. Olsen went down awkwardly in the end zone and his knee bent backwards. The training staff came onto the field and he was down for some time, but he eventually walked off the field under his own power.
Greg Olsen suffers knee injury vs. Falcons
Olsen was injured just before halftime.

Olsen went to the locker room with a knee injury and the Panthers announced his return as questionable. He didn’t return to the game.
After the game, head coach Ron Rivera said that Olsen is “fine” and that he could have played if he was needed. He said that Olsen will be sore going forward.
Olsen caught three passes for 52 yards before leaving the game. He’s the team’s top tight end and leading receiver by a wide margin. Coming into Week 14, Olsen had 62 receptions for 917 yards and six touchdowns, well above the next-highest receiver, Ted Ginn Jr., who entered the the week with 35 catches for 525 yards and six touchdowns.
Sixth-year veteran Ed Dickson is the primary backup for Olsen. He's in his second season with the Panthers and has just 12 catches for 117 yards and a touchdown on the season. After Olsen left with an injury, Dickson caught a touchdown pass from Cam Newton, though, which is a good sign.
