Washington hasn't won a single game on the road this season, and they sit at 5-7, out of the picture when it comes to the wild card race in the conference, but due to the weakness of their rivals, they sit atop the NFC East. Washington, the Philadelphia Eagles and New York Giants currently have 5-7 records, but Washington has the tie break for now.

Washington couldn’t increase its lead in the NFC East, but they’re still fighting for a playoff spot heading into Week 14.
Even the 4-8 Dallas Cowboys, who are without Tony Romo at quarterback, have a shot at making the postseason just a game back of the three teams in front of them.
In other words, Washington cannot afford to lose any games at this point in the season. They have four more games and will play both the Eagles and Cowboys before the season is over. The matchup against Dallas will take place in Week 17, and it could easily decide which team makes it to the postseason.
To put even more pressure on Washington, they’re coming off a close loss to Dallas in their last game, and they dropped one of their games against the Giants this year. They did manage to beat the Eagles when they played in Week 4, but the best they can do at this point is split the series with both rivals.
First up, Washington has to deal with Jay Cutler and the Chicago Bears. Unfortunately for Washington, this is a road game, a situation that has not yet led to a win for them this season. Washington is 5-2 at home and has only allowed an opponent to score more than 20 points there just once this season. On the road, they are giving up 32.4 points per game and average 17.2 points on the road, compared to a much better 24.4 at home.
The Bears also sit at 5-7 on the season, but unlike Washington, they are not playing in a poor division, and their playoff hopes likely went out the window with their Week 13 overtime loss to the San Francisco 49ers. Robbie Gould missed a potential game-winning field goal and Blaine Gabbert threw a touchdown pass to close out that game, 26-20.
Chicago has lost two of its last three games, though the win was a big win over the Green Bay Packers, a much tougher opponent than Washington. Chicago has also lost to some bad teams, falling to the rival Detroit Lions and the 49ers. But the Bears are third place in the division, behind both the Packers and the Minnesota Vikings. They are three games back of both teams and would need a miracle to make the playoffs at this rate.
But Cutler is still dealing with criticism about his contract, Jeremy Langford still wants to show the Bears that he can be the feature running back, and Matt Forte could be auditioning for a job with any number of teams next season. This should be a competitive game, though one team obviously has a lot more on the line than the other at this stage.
