Jets vs. Cowboys 2015 picks and predictions: New York expected to stretch its winning streak to 4 games

This is the easiest game remaining on the Jets’ schedule.

Prior to the start of the season, most people thought the New York Jets' and Dallas Cowboys' positions would be reversed. Dallas was a Super Bowl favorite heading into the year and the Jets appeared to be a club in transition under first-year head coach Todd Bowles.

But here we are: It's Week 15 and the 8-5 Jets are in possession of one of the AFC's Wild Card spots. The 4-9 Cowboys, meanwhile, are all but officially eliminated from the playoffs after last week's 28-7 loss to the Green Bay Packers.

Of course, Tony Romo's broken collarbone has derailed the Cowboys' season, as they've won just a single game in his absence. Both of Romo's replacements, first Brandon Weeden and then Matt Cassel, have struggled mightily in his place.

Cassel was atrocious last week, finishing with a mere 114 passing yards and an interception. Darren McFadden ran for 111 yards, but he could have a hard time finding room to room against the No. 1 ranked Jets run defense.

Darrelle Revis is back in action and will likely be matched up against Dez Bryant, though that assignment isn't as difficult as it once was. It's been a frustrating season for the injury-riddled Bryant, whose 42.9 pass catch rate is the lowest among any player who's been targeted at least 60 times.

The Jets' offense has lit it up in the midst of this three-game winning streak and put up 30 points against the Tennessee Titans last week. Ryan Fitzpatrick has thrown for 930 yards and nine touchdown passes without an interception during this run. He's just four touchdowns shy of Vinny Testaverde's franchise single-season record.

Fitzpatrick's gotten a lot of help from Chris Ivory, who needs 86 yards to reach the 1,000-yard mark on the season. Brandon Marshall and Eric Decker have been forces this year, too, combining for 20 touchdown catches between them.

Almost all of the experts expect the Jets to get their fourth win in a row. At ESPN, 12 of the 13 panelists are picking the Jets to win on the road and six of CBS Sports’ eight analysts are as well. Here at SB Nation, only PFT Commenter is willing to take a chance on the Cowboys.
