Bills vs. Washington 2015 live stream: Game time, TV schedule and how to watch online

Both Washington and the Bills have a shot at the postseason, but both need a big win Sunday.

Despite not posting a single winning streak all season, Washington (6-7) enters Week 15 in first place in the NFC East. With three games to go, they have a legitimate shot at making the playoffs. They have a losing record and are currently tied with two other teams in the division, but if they continue to win, then they will get to host a playoff game as division champions.

With a game remaining against the Philadelphia Eagles, a team they already beat once in Week 4, on top of a split season series with the New York Giants, Washington's lead in the division is tenuous. They hold the head-to-head tiebreak over the Eagles, but things could quickly change.

They play the Dallas Cowboys, who have not been officially eliminated from the race, in Week 17, and the Eagles the week before that. But up first, Washington will play host to the Buffalo Bills (6-7), another team fighting for a spot in the postseason, but one who needs a whole lot more to go right than Washington does to make it.

The Bills lost to the New England Patriots both times they played them, and a loss to the Eagles in Week 14 really hurt their chances of making the postseason. If they win their next three games and get a lot of help from the four teams above them in the hunt for a wild card spot, they can sneak into the playoffs, but just barely.

They are below another 6-7 team, the Oakland Raiders, and behind all of the Kansas City Chiefs, New York Jets and Pittsburgh Steelers, who are all two games up at 8-5. Currently, the Chiefs and Jets hold the two wild card spots in the AFC. Buffalo has no shot at winning the division, as the Patriots have already clinched the AFC East.

Buffalo could help itself big time in Week 17, as it will play the Jets, but for now, it is on the outside looking in and has a long way to go. If there’s one thing going for the Bills, it’s that Washington and Dallas, their next two opponents, are not very good teams overall.

But neither are the Eagles, or the Jacksonville Jaguars, or the Giants -- three teams the Bills have lost to this year. They fell to the Eagles, 23-20, in their last game and have lost three of their last four games, the only win coming against a very weak Houston Texans squad in Week 13.

At least the Bills have won consecutive games this season, though. Washington has alternated wins and losses since Week 6, concluding with a win against the Chicago Bears in their last game. The only streak they've had this season was the string of two losses between Weeks 5 and 6.

But Kirk Cousins has played well at times and even if Washington doesn’t make the postseason, Cousins has a lot of work to do to show the team that he can be the franchise quarterback going forward.
