Browns vs. Chiefs 2015 picks and predictions: Most experts picking Kansas City to get 9th consecutive win

Most experts are picking the Kansas City Chiefs to get their ninth consecutive win against the struggling Cleveland Browns.

The Kansas City Chiefs didn't inspire much confidence when they jumped out to a 1-5 start to the season, but since that time, they've won eight in a row. The Chiefs are sitting at 9-5 and currently hold the fifth seed in the AFC, but they have the opportunity to knock the Denver Broncos out of the top spot in the AFC West. The Broncos have a one-game lead on Kansas City, and the Chiefs own the tiebreaker.

The Cleveland Browns shouldn't be much of an obstacle for the Chiefs this week. The 3-11 Browns have won just one of their last nine games, and Cleveland was the first NFL team eliminated from playoff contention this season.

The Chiefs’ defense has been opportunistic, with 20 interceptions and 11 forced fumbles on the season. The Chiefs lead the league in turnovers returned for touchdowns with six. The Browns have lost the most fumbles of any team in the league this season with 16, and they have a turnover differential of -8.

Turnovers were certainly a factor in the Chiefs' Week 15 win over the struggling Baltimore Ravens. Kansas City's defense picked off Jimmy Clausen twice and also forced a fumble en route to a 34-14 victory in Baltimore.

The Browns are coming off of a 30-13 road loss to the Seattle Seahawks. Quarterback Johnny Manziel led a successful 80-yard touchdown drive on the opening possession, but the Browns never made it back into the end zone. Cleveland's defense allowed Russell Wilson to complete 21 of 30 passes for 249 yards and three touchdowns.

Looking at the current trajectories of these teams, it’s not surprising that the majority of experts are picking the Chiefs to beat the Browns at home. The SB Nation panel of experts is unanimous in picking Kansas City to beat the Browns. The experts at CBS Sports mostly agree, with only Jason La Canfora picking the Browns to win.
