They're 9-5, have won three games in a row and have scored 30 or more points in their last six contests. All that hasn't allowed that Pittsburgh Steelers to clinch a playoff spot yet, but they're getting close.
NFL picks and predictions, Steelers vs. Ravens 2015: Pittsburgh inching toward playoff berth
The Steelers could clinch a playoff spot with a win.
First up will be their Sunday trip to Baltimore, where they'll take on a depleted 4-10 Ravens team that will either be starting Jimmy Clausen, Ryan Mallett or Matt Schaub (Ravens coach Jim Harbaugh has yet to announce who will get the nod). Pittsburgh can clinch an AFC Wild Card spot with a win coupled with a Jets loss.
Last time these two teams met in Week 4, the Ravens won on the road in overtime, 23-20. This time around, the game is in Baltimore, where the Steelers have also lost nine of their last 12 games.
The passing game has been the biggest catalyst for the Steelers over their six-game scoring barrage. Antonio Brown, the league’s leading receiver with 1,586 yards, has caught 64 balls for 868 yards over that stretch, while Martavis Bryant and Markus Wheaton have emerged as threats as well. Wheaton has scored a touchdown in three of his last four games.
Seven of the eight experts at CBS Sports expect the Steelers to pull off the road win, with Ryan Wilson being the lone exception. The entire panel at ESPN are going with the Steelers.
All the human experts at SB Nation team expect Pittsburgh to win as well, with OddsShark being the lone Baltimore holdout.
