A 9-5 record for the Minnesota Vikings hasn't yet secured the team a postseason berth, but it might as well have. The only scenario that keeps the Vikings out of the postseason involves the team losing out, the Atlanta Falcons winning out and the Seattle Seahawks also being unable to earn a win in the final two weeks.
Giants vs. Vikings 2015 picks and predictions: Experts unanimously picking Minnesota
The Vikings can still contend for the NFC North crown in Week 17 as long as they can beat the Giants on Sunday night.
The Vikings can make things simple, though, and possibly contend for the NFC North crown by earning a win on Sunday Night Football over the New York Giants, which can be streamed on NBC Sports Live Extra. Minnesota has a Week 17 duel with the Green Bay Packers on the way, and if the Vikings earn a win against the Giants, the division will be on the line in the final week.
New York is a team that has struggled defensively, despite one of the NFL's better offenses, while Minnesota has managed to stop teams, but not put up some offense of their own. However, in Week 15, the Vikings had their top offensive output of the season with Teddy Bridgewater putting up career-best numbers.
At CBS Sports, it’s an even split of eight panelists, with four experts picking each team. ESPN doesn’t have a split at all though, with all 13 experts taking the Vikings to win.
SB Nation’s team is siding with the Vikings, as well, and like ESPN, not one expert was willing to take the Giants.
