After reportedly telling most of his teammates they weren't good enough to play with him, Ndamukong Suh and the Miami Dolphins are expected to get a win over an injured Baltimore Ravens team. The Ravens are just one game away from tying the NFL record for most consecutive one-possession games -- currently siting at 11 straight.
NFL picks and predictions, Ravens vs. Dolphins 2015: Miami heavily favored in Week 13
Maybe Ndamukong Suh and a new OC will help inspire the Dolphins.
The Ravens narrowly squeaked out a win over the Browns on Monday Night Football but the team is still trying to re-establish the offense now that quarterback Joe Flacco is out for the long haul. Matt Schaub started in his place, and was decent for his first start since Houston, completing 20 of 34 passes for 232 yards and two touchdowns -- but he also threw two interceptions, including a pick-six.
To make matters worse, wide receiver Steve Smith hasn't played since Nov. 1 and he is still the teams leading receiver with 670 yards. Over a month later, Kamar Aiken is finally catching up and is going into Sunday's game with 536 receiving yards this season and four touchdowns. Similarly, running back Justin Forsett is also out for season, but leads the team with 641 yards on 151 carries. In his absence, Javorius Allen has stepped into his role and had 34 of his 76 total carries this season in just the past two games.
The Dolphins duo of quarterback Ryan Tannehill and wideout Jarvis Landry was the second-most productive in the league last Sunday, despite losing by 18 points to the Jets. Tannehill completed 33 passes for 351 yards and three touchdowns. Landry had a career-high 165 yards on 13 receptions and a touchdown against the Jets, and is starting to find his rhythm in this offense.
But that didn’t stop the Dolphins from canning offensive coordinator Bill Lazor. After their 44-point outburst against the Houston Texans in Week 7, Miami has dropped four of five games and is averaging just 15.6 points per game in that span.
Miami will get another boost on Sunday, with the first career start of first-round draft pick DeVante Parker. He filled in for an injured Rishard Matthews in Week 12 and caught four passes for 80 yards and a touchdown. Parker was limited earlier in the year with a foot injury, but will make a good addition to a burgeoning receiving corps.
The popular opinion is that the Dolphins will be able to bounce back with a win against a Ravens team that only managed to beat the Browns on a miracle touchdown. ESPN's panel is siding with Miami by a 11-2 margin, while all but two of the eight-man crew at CBS Sports think the Dolphins come away with the win over the Ravens.
Here at SB Nation, our experts agree that Miami wins in Week 13, with only Joel Thorman backing Baltimore.
