If it seems like just yesterday that we were watching the Jacksonville Jaguars and Tennessee Titans duke it out on Thursday Night Football, well, that's because it was just two weeks ago when these teams last met. In Week 11, the Jaguars were able to eke out a 19-13 win at home.
NFL picks and predictions, Jaguars vs. Titans 2015: 2-win Titans favored at home
The AFC South rivals last met just two weeks ago.
The 4-7 Jaguars enter Sunday's game in Tennessee as winners of three of their last five games. A rough 31-25 loss to the San Diego Chargers last week hurt their postseason chances, but Jacksonville is still just two games back of the Indianapolis Colts and Houston Texans in the AFC South with five weeks left in the season.
The Titans, meanwhile, have dropped three in a row and at 2-9 are tied with the Cleveland Browns for worst record in the league. The lone bright spot of the season has been the play of first-round pick Marcus Mariota. The team also has to decide what to do with interim head coach Mike Mularkey, who took over for the fired Ken Whisenhunt in early November.
Despite their respective records, most experts seem to believe the Titans will knock off the Jaguars and notch their third victory of the season this Sunday. Over at ESPN, nine out of the 13 panelists are going with Tennessee, while the folks at CBS Sports are more bullish, with everyone other than Pete Prisco picking the Titans.
The SB Nation team is favoring the Titans as well, though not as heavily. Five of the eight experts expect Mariota and Co. to hold the fort at home.
