New England Patriots wide receiver Danny Amendola is expected to make his return against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Amendola sustained a knee injury in Week 11 against the Buffalo Bills and missed New England's last game against the Denver Broncos in Week 12. That game was the first loss of the season for New England, who now has a 10-1 record.

Tom Brady is expected to have one of his top weapons back in action on Sunday.

Amendola started the season low on the depth chart, but significant injuries to Julian Edelman and other wide receivers increased his value. Amendola was listed as questionable for Sunday's game, but most expected him to be available for Tom Brady.
On the season, Amendola has 49 receptions for 520 yards and two touchdowns. He is third on the team in receiving, behind tight end Rob Gronkowski and wide receiver Julian Edelman. Both of those players will not be active on Sunday.
Against the Broncos, Brady threw for 280 yards and three touchdowns. Gronkowski had 88 yards receiving, with Brandon Bolden catching four passes for 84 yards. Brady can typically make due with anybody at receiver, but having Amendola on Sunday could be huge.
