A win over the New York Giants in Week 12 gave Washington the lead in the NFC East and they'll look to preserve that lead on Sunday against the Dallas Cowboys. While not every expert is sold on Washington, most are picking the Tony Romo-less Cowboys to lose again on Monday Night Football.
Cowboys vs. Washington 2015 picks and predictions: Experts like Kirk Cousins more than Matt Cassel
Kirk Cousins has led Washington to the NFC East lead, while Matt Cassel is still looking for his first win as the starter for the Cowboys.
With Romo in the starting lineup, the Cowboys posted a 3-1 record in 2015, but haven't yet won a game that he didn't start. While Brandon Weeden is no longer on the roster, the Cowboys will again rely on Matt Cassel who has an 0-4 record with the Cowboys this season.
Washington has alternated wins and losses for most of the 2015 season, but Kirk Cousins has managed to avoid the dramatic swings of inconsistency that plagued him earlier in the year. He has strung together a few impressive performances in a row and has the team in position to win the NFC East so long as they don't stumble down the stretch.
At CBS Sports, five of eight experts are picking Washington to down the Cowboys, while all 13 of ESPN’s experts are taking Washington.
SB Nation’s team is siding with Washington, as well, although both Stephen White and David Fucillo are going with the Cowboys. White is SB Nation’s most accurate picker with a 109-67 record entering Week 13.
