Despite being tied for the worst record in the NFC, the Dallas Cowboys think they still have a shot at the postseason. Wild card spots are mostly out of reach, but the NFC East isn't thanks to the fact that none of the teams within are doing well at this point in the season. Washington currently leads the division with a 5-6 record, while the Cowboys sit at 3-8.

The Cowboys think they’re still in the playoff race. They absolutely have to beat Washington on Monday if they want to have a real chance.
The Cowboys can take a serious step toward making it to the postseason by beating Washington on prime time for Monday Night Football.
Their playoff hopes took a big hit when they lost to the Carolina Panthers in Week 12, but the loss was expected. Carolina was undefeated going into Week 12 and the Cowboys had lost seven of their last eight games. Dallas snapped the seven-game losing streak with a win over the Miami Dolphins in Week 11.
Unfortunately, the Cowboys lost quarterback Tony Romo for the season as he re-injured his collarbone against the Panthers. Romo threw for just 106 yards with three interceptions before he left that game, and was replaced by Matt Cassel. His replacement threw well, completing 13 of 19 passes for 93 yards and a touchdown, but it was too little, too late.
Cassel, who was brought in via trade after Brandon Weeden struggled during Romo's first injury, will make the start on Monday. He has completed 63.0 percent of his passes for 902 yards with five touchdowns and five interceptions this season.
He will be going up against a Washington team that has alternated wins and losses for six straight weeks. Kirk Cousins led them to a win over the rival New York Giants in their last outing, giving them first place in the division.
