Super Bowl 2015 prop bet results: Katy Perry plays ‘Roar’ first

Did you bet on what color hair Katy Perry would have at the Super Bowl halftime show? How about which song she played first? What is wrong with you?

Katy Perry opened the 2015 Super Bowl halftime show singing “Roar,” settling one of the most popular prop bets of the night. The halftime show also featured prop bets on the color of Perry’s hair and what dress she would wear.

The prop bet on Perry’s choice of clothing came with an important distinction: Vegas would only consider what she was wearing when the show started. As we’ve seen in the past, mid-show wardrobe changes can occur. Perry wound up wearing some crazy weird dress. Prior to the game, you could bet on a skirt or dress at 4/5 odds, pants below the knees at 2/1 odds or shorts above the knees at 2/1 odds.

The color of Perry’s hair also referred to what it looked like at the start of the show. On Sunday, that wound up being black/brown. Black/Brown was the favorite going into halftime at 2/1, Pink/Red and Blue/Green came in second at 3/1, Blonde was 4/1 and Purple was 5/1.

Perry’s opening song of halftime was perhaps the trickiest to predict, given her wide array of pop hits. She opted for “Roar.” “Firework” and “Roar” were dual favorites at 3/2 odds, “This Is How We Do” had 5/1 odds and “Dark Horse”, “E.T.” and “Wide Awake” all had 12/1 odds. In last place on the board, “Waking Up In Vegas” had 20/1 odds.

Super Bowl 49 is halfway through, and a slew of prop bets have come to fruition. Before the game, there were prop bets on how long the National Anthem would run and whether Idina Menzel would forget any words. Then there was the coin toss prop, and with Katy Perry’s halftime show came three other prop bets.
