On Friday, Goodell had said he was available to the media “almost every day,” which irked many NFL reporters.
"I'm available to the media almost every day of my job professionally." Goodell has rejected every interview request I've made since 2012.

“When you’re in the NFL, you have an obligation,” Goodell said, “an obligation to the fans. It is part of your job, and there are things in all of our jobs that we have to do that we don’t necessarily want to do.“It’s understandable why Goodell wouldn’t want to speak — when he actually got asked a tough question by Rachel Nichols, he was flustered and didn’t really answer it.
We’re used to Goodell saying hypocritical things, but here he’s managed to be hypocritical by not saying anything. Impressive.
