Adrian Peterson is due $12.75 million in 2015, but hasn't been asked to take a pay cut to stay with the Minnesota Vikings nor has the running back asked for a trade, according to Chris Tomasson of the St. Paul Pioneer Press.
Adrian Peterson not asked to take pay cut, DeAngelo Hall restructures and other NFL news
Adrian Peterson and the Vikings haven’t been on the best terms, but neither side has pushed for a split yet.

Peterson, 29, played in just one game in 2014 before an indictment for child abuse sidelined him and eventually resulted in a suspension that ended the rest of his season. The tumultuous year created talk of Peterson and the Vikings parting ways, but according to Tomasson, those talks have never been formalized.
The running back told ESPN last week that he’s “still uneasy” about a return to the team and there’s plenty of reason to believe that the Vikings would want to avoid keeping Peterson on the roster and take a $15.4 million hit against the salary cap.
Peterson has three more seasons left on the seven-year, $96 million contract he signed with the Vikings in 2011.
DeAngelo Hall restructures deal
A restructured deal for cornerback DeAngelo Hall means that the veteran’s salary with Washington is now entirely non-guaranteed, according to ESPN’s Field Yates.
Hall, 31, suffered an Achilles tendon tear early in the 2014 season and tore the repaired tendon again in October when he was making pizza. Prior to the restructured deal with Washington, Hall was due to receive $1 million guaranteed for the 2015 season and a base salary of $4 million. Now Hall will still be set to make $4 million in 2015, but first has to recover from the injury enough to make the team’s final roster.
DeAndre Hopkins had wrist surgery
A wrist injury that limited Houston Texans wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins in Week 17 required surgery to repair shortly after the conclusion of the season, according to Patrick Creighton of CBS Houston.
Hopkins, 22, had a torn ligament in the wrist and needed a pin and rod to be inserted to repair the damage. The Texans wide receiver said that the procedure was minor and he should be able to resume normal activities soon. Hopkins finished 2014 with 76 receptions for 1.210 yards and six touchdowns, although he managed just five yards in Week 17 while dealing with his wrist injury.
James Harrison not retiring just yet
Less than three weeks after officially retiring as a member of the Pittsburgh Steelers, outside linebacker James Harrison made a surprise return to the team after a string of injuries and finished the 2014 season with 5.5 sacks. Now Harrison intends to play in 2015 as well.
The 36-year-old pass rusher posted on Instagram Sunday that he plans to travel to Arizona to begin training for his 13th NFL season. If Harrison could manage eight sacks in 2015, he would pass Jason Gildon for the franchise record for career sacks.
