D’Qwell Jackson arrested for punching pizza delivery worker, per report

Colts’ linebacker allegedly punched the victim twice in the head over a parking space dispute.

Chris Humphreys-USA TODAY Sports

Indianapolis Colts linebacker D'Qwell Jackson is accused of punching a pizza delivery worker twice in the head after a dispute over a parking space, per reports. He was subsequently arrested Tuesday night in Washington D.C., law enforcement sources told Jennifer Donelan of ABC7.

Jackson, 31, snagged headlines in January after he caught the interception in the AFC Championship that sparked DeflateGate allegations against the New England Patriots. The dispute Tuesday night ended with Jackson receiving a citation for simple assault.

The pizza delivery worker was treated for his injuries by an ambulance, but wasn’t taken to the hospital, according to Donelan.

Jackson earned his first career Pro Bowl nod in January, replacing Seattle Seahawks linebacker Bobby Wagner. Before joining the Colts in 2014, Jackson played the first seven seasons of his career with the Cleveland Browns.

It has been a rough start to 2015 for the Colts, who lost 45-7 to the Patriots in the AFC Championship. In the last few weeks, linebacker Josh McNary was charged with rape, linebacker Andrew Jackson was arrested for DUI and running back Trent Richardson received a two-game suspension, in addition to D'Qwell Jackson's arrest.
