Letroy Guion arrested for felony possession of firearm, marijuana, per report

Guion started all 18 games for the Green Bay Packers this season.

Kevin Hoffman-USA TODAY Sports

Green Bay Packers nose tackle Letroy Guion was arrested Tuesday night for two felony charges in his hometown of Starke, Fla., police told Rob Demovsky of ESPN. One charge was a third-degree felony for possession of a firearm, and the other was for possession of 357 grams of marijuana.

The 27-year-old Guion was a fifth-round pick in the 2008 NFL Draft and spent the first six seasons of his career with the Minnesota Vikings before joining the Packers prior to the start of the 2014 season. He started every game for the Packers in 2014, finishing with 31 tackles and a career-best 3.5 sacks during the regular season. Pro Football Focus rated him 61st out of 81 qualifying defensive/nose tackles this season.

Guion signed a one-year, $1 million contract with the Packers last offseason, and, according to Demovsky, was in discussions with the Packers on a long-term deal before hitting free agency next month.

The police report was released on Wednesday afternoon and detailed what was found in Guion’s possession at the time of his arrest.
