Despite earlier reports that the Cleveland Browns had re-signed Jordan Cameron, the tight end has signed with the Miami Dolphins, according to Charles Robinson of Yahoo Sports. It was originally reported that Cameron had signed a two-year, $15 million deal with the Browns shortly after a visit with the Dolphins, but Miami jumped back in after the deal was reported, per Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
Jordan Cameron signs with Dolphins instead of Browns
The tight end seemed close to signing with the Cleveland Browns, but Miami jumped in at the last minute.

Update: The Dolphins announced that they have officially signed Cameron. According to Adam Schefter, the deal is the same -- two years, $15 million -- as the one he was expected to sign with the Browns.
This isn't the first deal this offseason to hit a snag. Cameron was the top tight end on the free agent market, and though Miami used the transition tag on tight end Charles Clay, he's been receiving interest from other teams like the Bills and Browns.
Cameron is coming off a disappointing season with the Browns, due to multiple injuries, but a Pro Bowl appearance in 2013 made him the top tight end to become available this offseason. It’s not a particularly strong free agent class at the position, nor is it a strong draft class after the top guys like Maxx Williams and Clive Walford.
He played in just 10 games this past season, which is likely the reason the Browns didn’t choose to use the franchise tag on him, despite having plenty of cap space. The franchise tag would have paid him $8.347, which is a massive increase from the $1.431 million Cameron earned in 2014.
Cameron finished the 2014 season with 24 receptions for 424 yards and two touchdowns, but he had 80 receptions for 917 yards and seven touchdowns in 15 games in 2013. In all, he has 130 receptions for 1,600 yards and 10 touchdowns since being made a fourth-round pick by the Browns in 2011.
