Washington added even more size on the defensive line in a big way by signing defensive tackle Terrance Knighton on Thursday, according to Josina Anderson of ESPN. It's a one-year deal worth $4 million, which is modest given the contracts given out thus far this offseason, but Knighton's deal could be considered a "prove it" one.
Terrance Knighton agrees to 1-year deal with Washington, per report
Pot Roast is on the move and will provide Washington with a 335-pound run stuffer.

Knighton, 28, played the last two seasons with the Denver Broncos and started all 32 games for the team in that span. Before that, he played four seasons with the Jacksonville Jaguars, where he was an immediate a starter as a rookie before eventually leaving in free agency to sign a two-year deal with the Broncos worth $4.5 million.
Nicknamed “Pot Roast,” Knighton brings a run-blocking presence at 335 pounds, but has done a decent job rushing the passer for a nose tackle in his career. In his six NFL seasons, Knighton has managed to rack up 12.5 sacks, two interceptions and 10 passes defended.
