NFL players react to LeSean McCoy for Kiko Alonso trade

The Eagles-Bills trade didn’t only surprise most fans, a number of current and former players were also shocked by the move.

Trades in the NFL are rare compared to the other major sports leagues. Trades involving star players -- like the deal on Tuesday that sent LeSean McCoy to Buffalo for Kiko Alonso -- are even more scarce. When they happen, they usually catch nearly everyone off guard, and that was the case with the Eagles and Bills trade.

There were no rumors leading up to the deal or leaked information from anonymous sources. Instead, the Eagles and Bills put together the deal in just 20 minutes, adding to the surprise. A number of teammates, opponents and former players weighed in with their reaction on Twitter.
