The Jacksonville Jaguars and former Dolphins defensive tackle Jared Odrick have reportedly agreed to terms on a contract, according to Chris Perkins of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel. Terms of the deal have not been disclosed, and Odrick can’t technically sign anything until the official start of the league year on Tuesday afternoon.
Jaguars agree to terms with Jared Odrick, according to report
The Jaguars landed a major building block for their defense on Monday.

Odrick became expendable in Miami once the Dolphins landed the biggest fish in free agency, Ndamukong Suh. The Jaguars were one of a handful of teams that reportedly had some interest in Suh, but Odrick makes a fine consolation prize for Jacksonville ... and will no doubt leave them with more money under the salary cap. The Raiders and Broncos were also said to be courting Odrick.
The 27-year-old gives head coach Gus Bradley the kind of versatility he craves in a defensive lineman. Odrick has experience as both a 3-4 defensive end and a defensive tackle in a 4-3 system. He played both successfully during his time in Miami. He’s played all 16 games in each of his last four seasons. Pro Football Focus credits him with six sacks and 74 total pressures over the last two seasons, as well as a positive grade as a run stopper.
