2015 NFL mock draft: Grading the bloggers’ picks from the 1st round
The first round of the SBN mock is complete and the Raiders actually won something.
Update: Read our 2015 NFL Draft scouting reports for the top prospects.
The highest grade of the first round went to the Raiders for the selection of Southern California defensive lineman Leonard Williams. The pick graded out as a 3.72, the round's only A-grade selection. It's fitting considering Williams is the draft's best player and he was available fourth overall. That pick also received the most votes, by far, with 8,094 as of the grading on Monday night.
Generally, the grades were favorable. The worst grade belonged to Revenge of the Birds and the Arizona Cardinals. The selection of pass rusher Preston Smith garnered just a “C” and a 2.13 average.
Overall, the first round just barely leaned defense. Eighteen of the first-round picks were on that side of the ball with 14 on offense. The most popular position was offensive tackle, which had seven taken in the first round.
