The NFL handed down its DeflateGate verdict -- a four-game suspension for quarterback Tom Brady, and a $1 million fine and loss of first- AND fourth-round draft picks for the New England Patriots. Brady’s teammates are absolutely furious about the decision. They expressed their outrage through emojis and profanity on the Twitter.
Patriots players are NOT happy about the NFL’s DeflateGate punishment
Patriots players took to Twitter to vent about the NFL’s decision to suspend Tom Brady and punish the Pats over DeflateGate.
Chandler Jones appeared to be the first to react with a simple, yet effective, grumpy face emoji.
— Chandler Jones (@Chan95Jones) May 11, 2015 That opened up the floodgates.

— Patrick Peterson (@RealPeterson21) May 11, 2015 Did not see that one coming a milli and 4 games
— Jameel McClain (@JameelMcClain) May 11, 2015 I think the suspension is warranted, they came down hard on the organization though. #Deflategate

— Shawne Merriman (@shawnemerriman) May 11, 2015 One of the few non-Patriots to stick up for Brady was Cleveland Browns safety Donte Whitner.
I honestly feel bad for Tom Brady!! I know first hand the type of competitor he is & how much work he puts in... Came down too hard on him!
— DonteHitner (@DonteWhitner) May 11, 2015 What's even worse is that people want to see him fall because of his greatness! #FreeTomBrady
— DonteHitner (@DonteWhitner) May 11, 2015 Meanwhile, Darnell Dockett seems to be angling for a job in New England.
You have to the love the patriots . They do anything to win a Super Bowl . #mytypeofteam
— DARNELL DOCKETT (@ddockett) May 11, 2015 Giants punter Steve Weatherford also disagreed with the punishment. He’s excited for the Jimmy Garoppolo show, however.
Tom Brady suspended 4 games.... That's just ridiculous. They are comparing it to steroid use. Preposterous! What are your thoughts?
— Steve Weatherford (@Weatherford5) May 11, 2015 Jimmy Garopolo is gonna get a great opportunity! Sr yr at Eastern Illinois 66% completion percentage 5,050 pass yards 53 TD
— Steve Weatherford (@Weatherford5) May 11, 2015 Finally, Tony Allen, Memphis Grizzlies guard and defensive succubus, took time out from preparations for tonight’s Game 4 against the Warriors to give his reaction in song.
Woooow
