Aaron Hernandez is being disciplined and placed in a special management section in prison for his involvement in a prison fight, according to Susan Candiotti of CNN.

The former New England Patriots tight end, sentenced to life in prison for first-degree murder, allegedly agreed to be the lookout, allowing another inmate to go into another prisoner's cell for a fight on Monday. The fight is believed to have been gang-related.

Hernandez is currently being held at Souza-Baranowski Correctional Center in Shirley, Mass. and is set to go on trial again for a double homicide that occurred in 2012. A trial date for Hernandez may be set by a judge on Thursday.

In February 2014, Hernandez was charged with assault and battery stemming from a prison brawl, and was charged with threats to do bodily harm for allegedly threatening an officer in November 2013.

Hernandez played just three seasons for the Patriots before he was arrested during the 2013 offseason.
