Terrelle Pryor will reportedly try his luck at wide receiver after being released by the Cincinnati Bengals on Thursday. According to Pro Football Talk, agent Drew Rosenhaus has been telling NFL teams that his client, now on waivers, has made the switch from quarterback after insisting for several years that he wanted to remain a passer.
Terrelle Pryor claimed by Browns, switching to wide receiver
Terrelle Pryor is finally switching to wideout in what may be his last chance to remain an NFL player.

Update: Pryor was claimed Monday by the Cleveland Browns as a wide receiver, per Pro Football Talk.
Pryor has a lot of potential as a pass catcher. With speed to burn at 6’6, 240 pounds, he is already one of the best physical specimens in the NFL, regardless of position. Just one problem: Pryor has one reception in three NFL seasons, and four total including his three seasons at Ohio State.
While he was with the Seattle Seahawks last June, he told the Seattle Times that he doesn't "know how to catch." He was competing for a backup role behind Russell Wilson at the time, but was one of the players let go at final roster cuts before the 2014 season opener. He remained a free agent throughout the rest of the year. In 2015, he has already been signed and release by the Kansas City Chiefs and the Bengals.
In that context, Pryor’s decision to switch positions seems like a desperation move. The former prep and college star has an immensely high ceiling, however, enough that a team should be willing to give him a chance on waivers or as a free agent. He’ll have to adapt, or else his NFL career could be finished.
