Vikings RT Phil Loadholt goes on season-ending IR with torn Achilles
Phil Loadholt will miss the full 2015-16 season after suffering a torn Achilles against the Buccaneers Saturday night.

Loadholt went down with an injury early in the game, limped to the sideline and had the cart called to take him to the locker room.
Loadholt sustained a torn pectoral muscle at the end of last season and only returned to the team later in organized team activities. This injury is much more severe than that one. That’s incredibly disappointing, as Loadholt had developed into one of the premier right tackles in the league.
On Saturday, rookie fourth-round pick T.J. Clemmings was inserted into Loadholt’s spot on Saturday and will likely be asked to step into the role on a more permanent basis following the game. Clemmings is a solid tackle, but the Vikings wanted to give him more time to develop before inserting him into the starting lineup.
