Chicago Bears wide receiver Kevin White has been absent thus far at training camp, and that may not change any time soon. There is a "real chance" that White stays on the physically unable to perform list into the regular season, according to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network.
Bears rookie Kevin White could start season on PUP list, per report
Kevin White could miss more time than initially thought due to his shin injury.

White, 22, is dealing with a shin injury of unspecified origin. The Bears shut him down in early June and he's only done very light work since then. Head coach John Fox suggested that White over-trained for the NFL scouting combine and never gave himself enough time to properly recover.
Whatever the case, White is currently on the PUP list and if he remains on said list at the start of the regular season, he would have to miss the team's first six games. That includes tough outings against the divisional rival Green Bay Packers and Detroit Lions, as well as the always-tough Seattle Seahawks.
Chicago expects big things out of White after taking him with the No. 7 overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft. White was expected to compete for and win a starting job opposite Alshon Jeffery on the outside, but this should set him back. Still, the Bears want to ensure he's 100 percent when he does see the field, and smart money is on him getting that starting role when he does eventually play.
