Carolina Panthers linebacker Luke Kuechly left Sunday's game against the Jacksonville Jaguars and will not return after suffering a concussion. Kuechly had just made a huge tackle against Jags running back T.J. Yeldon, and he put his head down doing it.
Luke Kuechly leaves Jaguars game with concussion
The Panthers’ star linebacker left Sunday’s game against the Jacksonville Jaguars and will not return.

Kuechly stood up after the tackle, but eventually went back down to the ground and the training staff came out to assist him. He was taken to the locker room with the Jaguars still on offense and under two minutes remaining in the first half. We’ll update when there’s more information from the Panthers.
One of the top linebackers in the NFL, Kuechly is essentially irreplaceable for the Panthers. He’s posted over 150 combined tackles in each season since the Panthers made him a first-round pick in 2012. Kuechly was named an All-Pro and made the Pro Bowl in each of the past two seasons.
Kuechly was given a five-year contract extension worth $62 million just days before the first game of the season.
