TY Hilton suffers bruised knee against Bills, X-rays negative

TY Hilton left Sunday’s game against the Buffalo Bills with a knee injury.

Indianapolis Colts wide receiver TY Hilton left Sunday's game against the Buffalo Bills with an apparent knee injury and did not return. Hilton was examined by the trainers on the sideline and had to have X-rays on his left knee in the locker room.

Head coach Chuck Pagano said in the postgame press conference that Hilton’s X-rays came back negative and that he officially sustained a bruised knee. Pagano also said that Hilton should be fine.

Andrew Luck was been looking for Hilton an awful lot in Sunday's game. Hilton had 14 targets, with seven catches for 88 yards, including a 30-yard reception. That was all by the fourth quarter, at the start of which Hilton left for the locker room with the injury.

Hilton led the Colts with 82 receptions for 1,345 yards and seven touchdowns last season. He's still the team's top receiver, though they brought in Andre Johnson to give him some help on the other side. Losing Hilton for any period of time would be a huge blow to a Colts team that is already losing its opening matchup against the Bills.
