Arizona Cardinals running back Andre Ellington left Sunday's game against the New Orleans Saints with an injury to his right knee. Ellington went down with no contact after making a cut, which is always a worrying sign. He was helped off the field by the training staff, and had to be carted off to the locker room.
Andre Ellington leaves Saints game after non-contact injury
Andre Ellington left Sunday’s game against the New Orleans Saints with a non-contact injury.

Officially, it’s a right knee injury and Ellington is questionable to return to the game, but given the use of the cart it would be a big surprise if he comes back. Ellington had 12 rushes for 69 yards and a touchdown before sustaining the injury.
Ellington is the team’s starting running back, putting up 660 yards on 201 carries with three touchdowns in 12 games in 2014. He has an injury history to him, missing four games in 2014 and one game in 2013, his rookie season. He’s a solid speed runner with receiving ability, putting up 350-plus receiving yards in each of his seasons with Arizona.
Arizona signed veteran running back Chris Johnson this offseason, and he's listed as Ellington's primary backup on the depth chart. Johnson had 663 yards and a touchdown with the New York Jets last season. Behind Johnson is rookie 3rd-round pick David Johnson.
