Dallas Cowboys receiver Dez Bryant reportedly suffered a broken foot during Sunday night’s 27-26 win over the New York Giants, and could be sidelined for up to six weeks.
Dez Bryant out 4-6 weeks with broken foot suffered in Cowboys win
Dez Bryant will have surgery Tuesday to repair a broken bone in his foot that will keep out of action until October.

“We want to be careful about making the entire judgment on it but Dez did break a bone,” Cowboys coach Jason Garrett said in his postgame press conference, according to Pro Football Talk. “We anticipate him having surgery. The initial diagnosis is he’ll be out 4-6 weeks.”
According to Todd Archer of ESPN, that surgery will take place on Tuesday to repair a broken fifth metatarsal bone in his right foot.
Bryant had five catches for 48 yards when he left, and moments later, a ball bounced off the hands of backup receiver Devin Street and was intercepted by Trumaine McBride. McBride returned the interception to the Cowboys; 1-yard line, setting up the touchdown that gave New York a 23-13 lead. Dallas answered with a touchdown to cut the margin to 23-20.
Bryant had 88 catches for 1,320 yards and a career-best 16 touchdowns last season, then signed a 5-year, $70-million contract extension in July. Bryant hasn’t missed a game since Week 2 in 2011, and has played through several injuries in the past four years.
