You should bet against the Broncos

Vegas isn’t high on Peyton Manning’s play this season, and the Broncos are three-point underdogs on the road in Kansas City.

UNDERDOGS: Peyton Manning and the Broncos are on a 12-0 run against division opponents on the road, one win away from an NFL record. However, they’re 3-point underdogs to the Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium on Thursday night, and the Chiefs happen to be 5-1 in their last six games at home.

EXTRA MOTIVATION: The Broncos defense may not want to hear the Chiefs’ new touchdown song.

BIG BROTHER GOODELL: Deadspin dug into the league’s legal wrangling over photos from the Greg Hardy domestic violence case. NFL lawyers played hardball, once threatening to sue to get the photos and later offering local attorneys a fancy dinner in NYC. It’s all very disturbing, especially if the idea of a big company acting like its own police state bothers you.

THEY’RE BACK: The NFL reinstated the two Patriots locker room attendants on Monday. And in case you’re not tired of DeflateGate, South Park had a little fun with it on Wednesday night.

QB CHANGE: The Texans made their quarterback switch official on Wednesday, replacing Brian Hoyer with Ryan Mallett.

WHAT’S WRONG WITH THE SAINTS: Rob Ryan’s Saints defense was shredded Sunday by the Cardinals. This film breakdown looks at one of their biggest problems with the fundamentals of playing defense.

SHERMAN SPEAKS: Richard Sherman addressed the media on Wednesday about the Black Lives Matter movement and an article that he did not write.

WHY YOU LYIN’: Rams receiver Stedman Bailey, his team sitting at 1-0 thanks to a win over the Seahawks, clowned Richard Sherman with this video. Someone might want to remind him that they’ve still got 15 games to play.

BRADFORD EXPERIMENT: Sam Bradford was good and bad on Monday night, and it all depends on how well his offensive linemen are playing.

BETTING PREVIEW: The Broncos aren’t the only big time underdogs this week. The Seahawks and Chargers are also underdogs on the road this week, and it’s a dead even pick ‘em for the Patriots at Bills.

COWBOYS RIDE: How do the Cowboys plan to beat the Eagles this week?

PRYOR WORKOUT: The Seahawks will bring in former Browns receiver and Raiders quarterback Terrelle Pryor for a workout.

PATRIOT TRADE: The Patriots traded for a wide receiver again.

CRASH COURSE: Tim Wright has been in the NFL for three years, played for three different teams and five different offensive coordinators. So how does he adapt to all that change?
