You can't have a better NFL debut than Marcus Mariota did. Literally, if you go by quarterback rating -- Mariota's was a perfect 158.3 in the Titans' impressive 42-14 Week 1 shellacking of the Buccaneers in Tampa Bay. The No. 2 overall pick completed 13 of 16 passes, threw for four touchdowns and didn't turn the ball over once. He had some Bucs fans regretting their team's decision to go with Jameis Winston with the top selection in last spring's draft.
NFL picks and predictions, Titans vs. Browns 2015: Experts siding with Marcus Mariota against Cleveland
Could the Titans really start the season 2-0?
This week Mariota will play on the road again Sunday when the Titans travel to Cleveland to take on the 0-1 Browns. Mike Pettine's team is coming off a nightmare of a road loss to the Jets. They turned the ball over five times and lost starting quarterback Josh McCown to a concussion in the first quarter.
Pettine told reporters this week that he'll announce his team's starter for Sunday following practice on Friday, the earliest McCown is allowed back on the field after entering the league's concussion protocol. McCown is expected to start if he is cleared, but Browns fans have to be concerned that backup quarterback Johnny Manziel showed very little on the field, going 13 of 24 for 182 yards with a touchdown, an interception and two fumbles.
Over at CBS Sports, seven of the eight experts are going with the Titans. Only Pete Prisco thinks the Browns will win their first game of the year. ESPN's panel is even more bullish on the Titans, with 11 experts picking Tennessee to win on the road.
SB Nation’s team is more split, with only three of the eight game pickers expecting the Titans to get off to a 2-0 start for the first time since 2008.
