When the New York Giants host Washington on Thursday to open Week 3, coach Tom Coughlin will be sure to place an emphasis on getting his team to play 60 minutes of quality football for the first time this season.

The NFC East is a bit of a question mark this season, and this matchup could have division implications.

In their first two games, the Giants led going into the fourth quarter, only to be outscored in the final minutes. Eli Manning has thrown the ball well -- he's 47 of 76 for 485 yards and two touchdowns without an interception -- but questionable decision-making in Week 1 and a costly fumble in Week 2 have prevented the Giants from finding their first victory.
Washington is heading into this game at 1-1 after knocking off the St. Louis Rams last week. Kirk Cousins has completed 75.9 percent of his passing attempts for 399 yards and two touchdowns through two games.
Both teams have had to adjust their offensive schemes due to injuries. Victor Cruz is expected to miss another game for the Giants, while DeSean Jackson is still out for Washington. The Giants are also expected to be without left tackle Ereck Flowers thanks to an ankle injury.
The NFC East is led by a 2-0 Dallas Cowboys team that just lost Tony Romo for eight weeks and Dez Bryant for up to 12 weeks. No one knows what's going on with the Eagles, who are 0-2 after an offseason full of questionable moves by Chip Kelly. With the division race looking wide open, Washington and the Giants have a golden opportunity in front of them.
